Perrot State Park Engagement Photos | Karly + Riley

These engagement photos in Perrot State Park of Trempealeau, Wisconsin are a prime example of how to make the most of a full sun session!

In May I had the pleasure of documenting Karly and Riley's engagement photos in both Perrot State Park and the town of Trempealeau, Wisconsin. Their session was extra special as not only were they able to showcase their incredible love for one another, but they also included their son in some of the photos which was SO much fun. I love how Karly and Riley’s session came together, and I can’t wait to share the highlights here with you all today!

Engagement Photos in Perrot State Park

Our session began in Perrot State Park, which sits just outside of the town of Trempealeau, Wisconsin. This gorgeous state park is on the shore of the Mississippi River, and consists of around 1,200 acres of wonderful natural beauty. The size of the park combined with its fantastic location meant Karly, Riley, and I were able to take advantage of beautiful photo opportunities everywhere we went.

Karly and Riley kicked their session off with the inclusion of their infant son, who is the CUTEST little nugget! He had the most adorable little smile, and seeing both Karly and Riley light up while showering him with love was simply the sweetest way we could have possibly started our session. After a quick baby hand-off and an outfit change we had some time for more engagement photos of Karly and Riley before it was time for us to leave Perrot State Park behind.

Ending Their Session in Trempealeau, Wisconsin

While the beauty of Perrot State Park is next level, Karly and Riley wanted a bit more variety for their engagement photos, which is why we headed into nearby Trempealeau for the remainder of our session. This little Wisconsin town has a LOT of charm to it, and was honestly the best possible way to end their session. Karly and Riley opted for a 2nd outfit change, finishing the day off in their most formal attire yet! We took some time exploring downtown Trempealeau before finally making our way inside the Trempealeau Hotel’s restaurant for some indoor photos. Ending the day off with a crisp refreshing beer after an afternoon out in the hot sun was the ideal finale to Karly and Riley’s day, as you can tell from the never ending smiles on their faces.

Karly and Riley’s engagement photos in Perrot State Park and Trempealeau, Wisconsin are a prime example of how you can still have a fantastic session even on a bright sunny day in May. While I do adore my sunrise and sunset sessions, I am so in love with how this session turned out. A huge thank you to Karly and Riley for choosing me to document this special chapter in their lives, and if you’re looking to have me photograph your engagement photos be sure to send me an inquiry today!
